Hello Wax Print Lovers!

I’ve always loved artwork. Album art, street art, film art, art art and just art. So I knew I wanted artwork that truly represented what Wax Print is – bold, intriguing and colourful. I wanted people to see something new each time they looked at it. A big ask maybe?

 

I went through a few concepts and finally settled on one.

 

The next few days saw me cutting, sticking, scanning and drawing until I had a rough draft that I could send to someone way more skilled than I.

I think you’ll agree that Sam did a great job on both interpreting my primary school-style  mash-up and creating a piece of art that conjures up the energy and history of Wax Print fabrics. You can view the artwork on the ‘Home’ page.
